This past Friday Jourdanton Powerlifting put another lifter at the top of the THSPA leader board!

This 1,485-pound total not only earned Joseph the first-place medal, and also put him FIRST in the Region.
Joseph Hernandez now joins Donald Parks, Danilo Lugo and Xavier Tijerina, who are all ranked in the top 5 going into the Regional Championship on March 8th.
Other medalists for Jourdanton were Evan Romero and David Rene Guzman, who placed 1st and 2nd in the 220's; and Izaiah Molina placed 3rd in the 114's.

This past Friday night the Jourdanton Boys opened up their season at Texas Strength Systems
Danilo Lugo established himself as a force that few will be able to reckon with. Dani's 700-pound squat and 500- pound bench moved as if someone had turned off gravity. His 600-pound deadlift looked like he was just warming up. This performance earned Danilo the award for best lifter and a comfortable seat at the top of the THSPA state rankings.
Seniors Colten Brown and Xavier Tijerina placed forth.
Sophomore Colton Parrish placed fifth, as did freshmen Ryan Castellano and Caleb Green-Ondo
Senior Captain Donald Neal Parks dug down deep and showed his teammates what it means to compete with class, pride, and heart, fighting through an injured hand to pull a 535-pound deadlift and take second place.
Alek Hillman, Kairo Martinez, Jack Craig, Julian Ayala and Brandon Rodriquez also had strong performances in their first meet of the season.
The Jourdanton Girls will compete again Friday night.
