On Friday Jourdanton Girls Powerlifting finished their regular season.
In the 132 weight class, Liberty Harlan, Trinity Garcia and Sadie Shearrer placed 1st,’3rd and 4th. All three lifters competed unequipped and still out-lifted their competition who were wearing specialized suits, benching shirts, and knee wraps.
The Star of the night was Senior Miriam Bocanegra. Miriam squatted 465, bench pressed 255, and deadlifted 305. This 1,025 pound total earned Miriam the award for Best lifter, and she is currently placed 2nd in the State for the 165 weight class.

February 26th 6pm at the HS Cafeteria
JHS is excited to announce the CTE Showcase! The showcase is open to all community members, parents and students. Although we welcome all of our students we encourage 7th and 8th grade students as they prepare for their high school years. Attendees will rotate through a few classes and see what programs JHS has to offer. Learn about classes such as Ag Mechanics, Culinary, Health Science and many more.
