🩺 Mrs. Gutierrez’s Medical Terminology Class: Building the Body, One Model at a Time! 🧑⚕️
In an exciting hands-on project, Mrs. Gutierrez’s Medical Terminology class came together to create detailed human body models that showcased essential anatomical concepts like body planes, body cavities, and abdominal quadrants. This collaborative effort helped students bring abstract terms and definitions to life in a creative and engaging way. ✂️👩🔬

Staff Spotlight: Marissa Eichman
Meet Marissa Eichman, one of our amazing Inclusion Aides at Jourdanton Jr. High! 🌟
"Hi, I’m Marissa Eichman! I love spending time with my family, traveling, and dancing. A couple of my favorite quotes I try to live by are:
"Be kind whenever possible. It is always possible." — Dalai Lama
"Be the reason someone smiles today. Be the reason someone feels loved and believes in the goodness in people." — Roy T. Bennett
I’m very excited to have joined the team as a paraprofessional! I’m looking forward to helping students grow in confidence and building those meaningful connections!"
Marissa's enthusiasm and positive outlook are contagious, and we're so lucky to have her on our team! Let's give her a warm welcome as she continues to make a difference in the lives of our students. 😊💙

What a great evening at the band preview. The Mighty Indian Band performed two sets of their UIL show. They also had a bit of fun picking someone to teach their marching techniques to!

Staff Spotlight: Angelica Gonzales – Educational Aide at the ECC
Meet Angelica Gonzales, an enthusiastic and dedicated Educational Aide at Jourdanton ISD's Early Childhood Center (ECC). At just 19 years old, Angelica has already made a big impact in her second year at the ECC.
A proud 2024 graduate of Jourdanton High School, Angelica was initially nervous about returning to her district as a staff member. “I was so nervous about being so young and working at the school I graduated from,” she shares. “But when I first got hired, my colleagues welcomed me with open arms, and now I consider them my second family. They’ve helped me grow both personally and professionally.”
Angelica is grateful to be a part of a team that truly feels like home, and she is excited for the upcoming 2025-2026 school year. “I’m blessed to be able to say this is my tribe,” she says.
We’re lucky to have Angelica as part of our JISD family, and we look forward to the wonderful things she’ll continue to do for our students!
