The Purple bus is running late this morning due to mechanical difficulties. Please be patient. We will be picking up students. It will be a little bit later.
Thank you.

When arriving at the ECC for dismissal, please do not enter the circle before 3:00 pm for pickup unless you are retrieving a student for an appointment. For the safety of all of our students and staff, we must keep this driveway clear in case of an emergency. Your cooperation would be appreciated. A line will be formed along the street along LaGarde for waiting. Please do not cut line and enter the driveway in front of others. Your cooperation would be very appreciated.

Due to COVID-19 district guidelines. No outside food for students is allowed into the district with the exception of water or lunch boxes. Therefore, we will not allow any Halloween party treats or goody bags. We wanted you to know before you spent your hard earned money. If you have any questions, please contact the Elementary office at 830-769-2121.

Our class t-shirts have arrived! We sent home class t-shirts with our on campus learners last week. If you are a remote learner who ordered a shirt online, please come to the ECC off for grades PK-1st and the Elementary office for grades 2nd-5th to pick up your order.
We will be reopening the T-shirt Store soon in case you missed ordering the first time around. We will post this link on our website and Facebook page soon.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the Elementary office at 830-769-2121.

We love and appreciate our substitute teachers! They are ready at any time to report to the school when we request their services. Sometimes, they arrive on a moment's notice. They are professional and pleasant and always report how much they appreciate our students. THANK YOU JOURDANTON ELEMENTARY SUBSTITUTES!!!!!!!!

GT nominations are open from 10/5-10/16 for students in Grades 1st-5th grades. The process includes lengthy testing and will take until February to complete and get results back. If you would like to nominate your child, you may get a monination form from our JISD web page, ask your child's teacher for one, or get a form from on of the campus secretaries. No forms will be accepted after October 16th. All kindergarten students will be screened and parents will be notified if your child will continue with GT testing.

Jourdanton ISD Football Homecoming game is Friday, October 9th. Jourdanton Elementary will be celebrating during the week prior. If your child would like to wear a mum or garter to school, they may.

Due to the rain, Smith Village will be car pick up today.

Due to the rain, Smith Village will be car pick up today.

Students returning on Monday, September 21st may drop off their supplies today at the ECC or Elementary offices until 4:00 pm so that they are not struggling with the supplies and getting acclimated to the campus on Monday. We look forward to seeing these students on campus.

We will be conducting a Materials Distribution on Monday, September 21st from 9:00 am – 2:00 pm to distribute Remote Learning Support materials. You will need to pull up to the ECC or Elementary curbs and pick up your child’s materials. If a student is working remotely, they MUST be actively engaged online every school day to be counted in attendance and they must submit all work as assigned.
If you are planning to have your child return to school face-to-face for the 2nd six weeks, you must notify the Elementary Principal in writing by Friday, September 18th.
If you have further questions, please contact the Jourdanton Elementary office at 830-769-2121.

Today is the last day to order your child's class t-shirt.

A quick reminder to let you know that you MUST have a school issued sign displayed in your vehicle’s window in order to pick up your child at dismissal. These signs serve as proper identification to allow our staff to know it is okay for you to pick up your child. Our staff has been instructed to look for these signs. If you do not have one, you must park in the designated parking spaces and go into the office to be cleared to pick up a student. There are no exceptions. Please contact the Elementary or ECC office if you do not have a sign and need to make arrangements.

Jourdanton Elementary would like to show our school spirit by supporting the Jourdanton ISD extracurricular teams by wearing a school spirit shirt.
So, what does a school spirit shirt look like and when should I wear it?
A school spirit shirt can be a red shirt, a shirt with a Jourdanton logo, or your Jourdanton Elementary class t-shirt. Your spirit shirt can be worn "untucked" any day of the week.
If you are not sure or need further clarification, please call us at the Jourdanton Elementary office 830-769-2121.

Jourdanton Elementary will have a materials distribution to distribute support materials for remote learners on Tuesday, August 25th from 9:00 am-2:00 pm. We will have materials prepared and in bins at the ECC entrance for grades PK, Kinder, and 1st and at the Elementary entrance for grade 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th.
You will just need to drive up, pull a packet labeled for your child or their grade level and be on your way. These are not paper packets to be returned. These are support materials for remote learning.
For those parents unable to come at these times, we will leave the bins out through the evening for pickup at your convenience.
If you have any questions, please contact our office at 830-769-2121.

Jourdanton Elementary requires students in grades 2nd-5th grade to wear their shirts tucked in with a belt. However, as an incentive to support our school spirit, students will be allowed to wear a Jourdanton Indian spirit shirt untucked ANY day of the week. Sounds like a fun way to support our school.
