- Graduated from Southwest Texas State University. College Major - Journalism/English (Sociology Minor). Later completed Reading and ESL certifications.
- My teaching responsibilities are primarily 6th grade reading. I have one 7th grade reading class this year.

- U.I.L. Spelling sponsor - 6th, 7th, and 8th grades
- I am available at Indian Homework Club after-school tutorials on Tuesdays and Thursdays and per student request as needed.
- I am a proud JHS alumni, and I am equally proud that the 2009-2010 school year marks my 20th year of teaching, all at Jourdanton Junior High. Though I have no children of my own, I am the doting aunt of 10 wonderful nieces and nephews, 4 of whom will be attending Jourdanton Elementary this school year.
