My love of history and my family background inspired me to become a teacher of the subject. I earned my history and political science degrees at OLLU in San Antonio. I will be starting my 32nd year teaching, all of which have been at JISD. Throughout history there have been many heroes and I incorporate this theme into my classroom especially into my Advisory. We are known as "Huizar's Heroes".
