A little about me.....
I am in my 6th year of teaching at Jourdanton Junior High. I am married and have 2 daughters ages 9 and 7. I also have a stepdaughter that is 15 and stepson that is 10. They keep me busy with their extracurricular activities.
I enjoy running and have become addicted to tracking my progress with time and distance online. I also enjoy spending the hot South Texas days at the beach or poolside.
I grew up in the Houston area and went to junior high and high school in Sugar Land, Texas. I graduated with a BS from Texas Tech University. (Go Red Raiders!) My degree was in Elementary Education with a specialization in MATH.
My teaching responsibilities currently include 7th grade math
and two creative math classes. I also sponsor
UIL Calculators for grades 6-8 and 7th grade Mathematics.
One of my favorite quotes is "Be kinder than necessary, for
everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle."
