Jourdanton Jr. High Earns Distinctions
From Texas Education Agency
Jourdanton Jr. High is considered among the best in Texas under the State’s new accountability system. Jourdanton Jr. High not only met the minimum standard set by the Texas Education Agency, but also earned the maximum number of distinctions allowed for a Jr. High.
JJHS received distinctions in all three possible categories: Student Achievement on the STAAR test in Reading and in Math, Student Progress and Closing Performance Gaps.
Statewide out of 3600 campuses only 759 campuses earned all three distinctions according to a news release from the Texas Education Agency. Only about 10% of the Jr. Highs in the state earned all three distinctions.
