Professional Bio: Mrs. Wilson earned her B.A. from Texas A&M in College Station in Agricultural Education and a teaching certificate in Agriculture and Biology. As a life-long learner she has taken courses in Chemistry, Physics, Geology, and Astronomy. She has taught all three of the basic fields of high school science. Her career began as a teacher, mentor and curriculum designer with the Papago Nation in southern Arizona. Mrs. Wilson has participated in several summer institutes at the national level including instruction at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory; with James Van Allen at the University of Iowa and as both a participant and mentor at the National Radio Astronomy Observatory in Green Bank, West Virginia. She has also presented workshops for science educators K-12 with an emphasis on how to teach science with limited resources. She counts among her graduates a state Chemistry UIL champion, a Ph.D. in genetics from M.I.T., two nuclear engineers, a pharmacist, nurses and a doctor.
