Hello Everyone!
I am very excited to be teaching 3rd grade this year! My job might have changed but my dedication to Jourdanton Elementary has not. This will be my 12th year teaching here at Jourdanton Elementary. I have taught 8 years in kindergarten and 3 years as the 3rd-5th Reading Specialist. 3rd grade will be a nice change and I welcome it with open arms.
How did I get here to Jourdanton you ask? Well, let me tell you a little story about me, Shellie Kaiser. My family moved to Jourdanton in 1979 which makes Jourdanton my ALMA MATER!! From Jourdanton I went up to the pan handle of Texas to attend Texas Tech University. I graduated with a degree in Human Development and Family Studies in the Fall of 1991.
GO RED RAIDERS!! Shortly after graduation I went to work for the Texas Agricultural Extension Service as a 4H County Agent in North and Central Texas. In 1995, I moved back home to Jourdanton and began to focus on obtaining a teaching certificate. Wow, imagine going all over Texas just to end up back in little ole Jourdanton.
Do you want to know about my family? Well, keep reading... After moving back to Jourdanton I married a home town boy. My husband Bill and I have two children, Devin (5th grade) and Payton (3rd grade). We both love our little town and living the country life. We have lots of cattle, horses and other little critters where we live. On the weekends we enjoy going to the family ranch where we fish, hunt (in season of course), and just hang out. As for myself, on my off time I love to read christian novels and being with family and friends.
