Wild about P.E.

Welcome to Elementary Physical Education !!!
I am so excited about the upcoming 2010-2011 school year. The great success we had last year with our programs in P.E. has everyone talking about our school. We were also recognized by the AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION as being the TOP fundraising school in the South Texas Region for Jump Rope for Heart. P.E. offers a great opportunity for our youth to develop good habits that will help lower the obesity rate and promote a healthy lifestyle for many years to come.
A little bit about myself: I graduated from Texas A&M University Kingsville in 2004 with a bachelors degree in Kinesiology. I am certified to teach Health and P.E. for all grade levels. This is my 6th year in Jourdanton and can't believe how time flies when you're having so much fun. I get the privilege of working with students throughout their years at J.I.S.D., I also assist with Jr. High Football. Finally when they make their way to High School, I see the students who are involved in the sports that I coach. I am an assistant varsity football coach, assistant girls basketball and head softball coach. I also coach kids who participate in our Summer Track Program called the J-Town Jackrabbits.
