What I teach: 1st grade
About Me: My name is Nikki Yow, and I am a first grade teacher here at Jourdanton Elementary. This is my second year to teach and my first year at Jourdanton. I taught 4th grade last year at Poteet Intermediate Campus. I am super excited to be teaching first grade this year. I love children and have always known that I wanted to work with small children as a part of my career. I grew up in Somerset, TX but, spent my last two years of High School in Devine, TX where I graduated. I graduated from Texas A & M Kingsville as a Kinesiology major. Therefore, I am also certified to coach at any level. I am married, my husband breaks and trains horses as a second job and that does not include his full-time job. So, we are always busy, busy, busy! I have a 5 year old daughter, a three year old son, and another cowboy on the way at the end of October. I love to dance and spend time with my family. Most of our weekends are spent watching my husband rope all around south Texas. I am excited about working here at Jourdanton Elementary and look forward to working with your children and getting to know them throughout the school year.
