Welcome to Mrs. Morales' Class

I currently teach 4th and 5th grade students in the areas of math and reading. As I was growing up, my older brother and I took care of our little brother who was diagnosed with special disabilities.  My brother was a very smart child, he just needed extra assistance in working his way through life.  Today, I teach special needs children who need that extra help to find their way and function as an adult. I received by Bachelor's Degree from Bellevue University in Human and Social Services Administration and a Master's Degree from Arkansas State University in Curriculum and Instruction.  I also received a Master's Degree in Special Education through Lamar University. I am certified as a general education teacher in grades EC-4, English as a second language (ESL) EC-4, and Special Educaiton EC-12.  I started as a substitute teacher for the Department of Defense Education Association and then became a Guidance Counselor for the Department of Education in Guam.  After moving to Pleasanton TX, I became a special education teacher in Alice TX, then taught in San Antonio, and now am teaching in Jourdanton TX.  I am looking forward to the coming year and am excited about all the new and exciting things that we will be learning!
