Mrs. Korus' Fourth Grade

Welcome!

by Missy Korus

September 05, 2008

Hello!  My name is Missy Korus and I'm a hometown girl who graduated from J.I.S.D in 1983.  I earned my degree from Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos in 1987.  I returned to Jourdanton and spent the next ten years teaching kindergarten.  I enrolled in college one more time and received my Masters in Guidance and Counseling.  I have not used that degree yet because I love being in the classroom.  I am now in my twenty-first year of teaching here.

My husband, Jeffrey, and I have three children.  Our oldest daughter is a sophomore in college, our son is a junior in high school, and our youngest daughter is enrolled in elementary.  I'm very active in school activities, so you can easily find me at many of the athletic events.

2008 marks the beginning of my eighth year teaching fourth grade.  The students at this level are excited about learning and eager to be here.  I especially enjoy my fourth grade co-workers.  We work hard together planning and advising each other.  I'm proud to work with our well-informed and positive administrators that are at Jourdanton I.S.D.!

Please feel free to contact me during my conference time which is from 2:35-3:20 daily, or at my e-mail address.
