I am Kristal Burris. I grew up in a small town not far from here. While growing up I thought Jourdanton was a really neat school with a lot of pride. When I graduated from college in 1988 I had an opportunity to come here to teach and I jumped at it. I now am starting my 21st year here and I still feel the same way about Jourdanton. I wouldn't choose to be anywhere else.

I graduated from Southwest Texas State University or now known as Texas State with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education with a Specialization in Reading. I've taught Kindergarten, First and Second Grades. I have to admit---Second is my favorite!
I live with my husband , Keith in Poteet on land that his family has owned for many years. We have two active and successful children. Kye is a freshman and loves football, baseball, golf, and anything to do with the outdoors (hunting & fishing).
Kloe is a 6th grader and loves softball, basketball and possesses leadership qualities. Both of our children are very involved in FFA with their show animals. They both show lambs, goats, and hogs at local stock shows and major stock shows.
I enjoy being outside, working in my yard and spending time with family and friends.
My Philosophy is that Teachers and Parents share the goal. We both want what is best for your child.
