I am excited that all 18 of my students are back for a groovy new year. This is my twelfth year teaching school and seven of those years have been at Jourdanton Elementary. I have taught four years in fifth grade, seven years in second grade, and one year in special education. Every year has been very memorable. Jourdanton Elementary is truly a great place to be. I enjoy the staff, students, and parents.
Here is some more information on my educational background. I graduated for Southwest Texas State University now know as Texas State in May of 1999 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and a teaching focus in Special Education. I am always looking forward to continuing my education through workshops and conferences.
In my classroom, I promote an atmosphere of respect. I work hard to build a community among my students and stress the idea of teamwork. I value cooperation and believe that great things can happen when we work together.
