I am excited that all 18 of my students caught the second grade wave and surfed in for an exciting school year. This is my eleventh year teaching school and seven of those years have been at Jourdanton Elementary. I have taught four years in fifth grade, six years in second grade, and one year in special education. Every year has been very memorable. Jourdanton Elementary is truly a great place to be. I enjoy the staff, students, and parents.
Here is some more information on my educational background. I graduated for Southwest Texas State University now know as Texas State in May of 1999 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and a teaching focus in Special Education. I am always looking forward to continuing my education through workshops and conferences.
In my classroom, I promote an atmosphere of respect. I work hard to build a community among my students and stress the idea of teamwork. I value cooperation and believe that great things can happen when we work together.
