Mrs. Watt's First Grade Class

I’d like to welcome you to First Grade along with your child.
I grew up here and graduated from Jourdanton ISD. I graduated from Sul Ross State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education.
I live on a ranch where we raise show hogs, have horses, calves, chickens and of course dogs & cats. I love the outdoors and nature. I enjoy working in my yard and spending time with my family and friends. My extra time is spent going to rodeos with my family and stock shows. In my quiet time I like reading books and scrapbooking.
This is my 13th year teaching and love it! Along with first grade, I have taught Kinder, 3rd and 4th. Teaching is something I’ve always wanted to do. I think kids are the future of our lives and I enjoy being a part of that.
Teaching is something that we continue to work on and are always finding new ways to help the students. I feel that working together, we can make these students the best they can be.
Thanks for allowing me to be your child’s teacher. My expectations are high and I know yours are higher. I hope to have the most successful, fun-filled year ever!
