Hello, I'm Jimmy Gates, the new Assistant Principal at Jourdanton Elementary. I was born and raised in Charlotte, Texas. I graduated from Charlotte High School, and went to college at Howard Payne University, in Brownwood, Texas. I have a Masters Degree in Mid-Management from Texas A&I University. I have been in education for 30 years, as a teacher, coach, and administrator. I'm also a Kinesiology instructor at Coastal Bend College in Pleasanton.
I reside in Pleasanton, Texas, and have a wonderful family with 4 beautiful women. My daughters are Chelsea, Cristan, and Madison. My wife's name is Cindy and she is employed in the Pleasanton Independent School District.
I love to coach track and field, especially the high jump. I do give private lessons if anyone is interested. I enjoy golfing when I can find the time.
It is my privilege to be working at Jourdanton Elementary and in the Jourdanton Independent School District. I love it, and am grateful to be working with a great staff, administrators, and students.
