Varsity Boys Manuel Tijerina 1st Place SHW class Squat 635(PR), Bench 350(PR), Dead Lift 600(PR), Total 1585(PR) All lifts were personal records (PR) for Manuel. Manuel set 3 meet records including Squat, Dead Lift and Total weight. Manuel was in a lifting duel with a lifter from Beeville, who was leading the SHW class after the Squat and Bench. Manuel knew he had to lift what would be a new PR of 600 lbs. in order to win the gold. With confidence and determination to win the event, Manuel stepped onto the lifting platform and with a mighty pull, he lifted the 600 lbs. off of the floor and stood up straight. . . . read more
The Elementary students and staff want to say a great, big THANK YOU to everyone that brought in BoxTops during the 1st semester. With your support, we received $990.00 for those BoxTops! With the money that was raised, we were able to order student white boards for students to use in the classroom. White boards are an excellent way for students to quickly write down an answer to a question and for teachers to see if they are right.
