2010-2011 Tax Rate

Jourdanton ISD adopted a tax rate for the 2010-2011 school year of $1.17, which was approved by the tax payers in November 2007. Because of the increase in property values, the $1.17 tax rate will raise more funds than it raised last year.
Therefore Texas Tax Code ยง26.05(b) requires the following statements:
(A) Jourdanton ISD adopted a tax rate that will raise more taxes for the Maintenance and Operations than last year's tax rate.;
and
(B) The tax rate will effectively be raised 6.74% and will raise taxes for Maintenance and Operations on a $100,000 home by approximately $0.00
