CHIEF Yearbook Staff Attends Workshop

The Jourdanton CHIEF Yearbook Staff attended the Balfour|Taylor Publishing Communications Workshop at Texas A&M University July 23-26. Students and advisers attended sessions on such topics as photography, copy writing, editorial leadership, color trends, ethics in student publications and marketing.
Over 1000 students from all over the state attended the workshop in publication-specific tracks for yearbooks, newspapers, photo journalism and broadcast journalism. As part of the program, each staff submitted a project with their plans for the upcoming school year. Over 50 yearbook projects were submitted, most from AAAAA schools from the Houston area.
The Jourdanton CHIEF Yearbook staff was recognized for having the Outstanding Graphics Portfolio at the workshop.
