Jourdanton AAU Summer Track
Parents,
Jourdanton will be starting their summer track program immediately
after the end of the school year. It is a great opportunity to stay
in shape and compete against some of the top athletes in South
Texas. Students interested will have to join the Amateur Athletic
Union (AAU). Each athlete must also purchase a club shirt, and pay
a small fee for each meet in which they compete. There is important
information about costs, workout schedules, and meet dates at the
bottom of this article.
We will have a parent meeting before the first practice to discuss
changes to this year’s track meet formats. We look forward to
working with any and all students who are interested in the

Workout Schedule
• Week of June 1st (Mon, Tues, Wed, Thurs)
o Parent meeting Mon. only 7:00 – 7:15 am Practice till 8:30 am
o Practice from 7:00 – 8:30 am the rest of the week
• Week of June 8th, June 15th, June 22nd (Tues, Wed, Thurs,
Fri)
o Practice from 8:00 – 9:30 am

Athletes competing in the District Qualifier will advance
automatically to Regionals (TBA sometime in July). Athletes can
attend one or both and use the first District meet as an extra
Practice meet.
